Meet the Staff

Preschool Manager – Lizzy Houlder

Lizzy is a trained primary school teacher and has worked in a range primary schools for 12 years. She has had various roles including phonics lead, head of Early Years, music lead and PSHE lead. Lizzy is passionate about education and committed to providing high quality care in a safe and stimulating environment. Lizzy lives in the local area with her husband and two young girls. Lizzy is excited to join the Cottontails team and welcomes new families.

Deputy Manager – Stephanie Brooks

Stephanie holds a Level 3 Qualification in Children’s Learning and Development. She is the setting’s Safeguarding lead practitioner, and Setting SENDCo Lead.

Other training includes – SENDCo, Safeguarding Lead, Prevent Duty

Senior Practitioner – Maureen Thurston

Maureen holds a Level 3 Qualification in Children’s Learning and Development, she is the setting’s Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Food hygiene Lead and Health and Safety Lead. Maureen lives locally and has one grown up daughter. As part of the Cottontails team she seeks to provide the children with quality education and care, helping each child to develop and grow. Maureen is very interested in arts and crafts and enjoys providing the children with opportunities to develop their creativity.

Other training includes – Step on, Paediatric First Aid, Mark making – Writing project, Autism – The Invisible Condition, Prevent Duty.

Senior Practitioner – Jane Mace

Jane holds a Level 3 Qualification in Children’s Learning and Development, she is the setting’s Outdoor Provision Lead and Equal Opportunities & British Values Lead. Jane has 10 years experience in Early years and enjoys outdoor learning, displaying children’s work on a range of boards, and reading the children stories. Jane lives locally with her two daughters and they share many loved pets. Jane enjoys biking, swimming, walking and yoga in her spare time and regularly volunteers at her local village hall.

Other training includes – Forest school training, Outstanding outdoors, Freedom and Fun, Solihull, Writing support plans, Paediatric first aid, Step on, Understanding Autism, Prevent Duty.
