Monday 11th February at 5pm at the Village Hall. Come in your onesies or pyjama’s for a story, craft activity and hot chocolate!!
Please sign up on the sheet in the parent room nearer the time!
|The next Meet & Mingle will be in the Parent room from 9am on Tuesday 5th February. Pop in to meet the committee and other parents over a coffee and cake after you have dropped off your child.|
|Every second Wednesday of the month, we are unable to use the village hall so Mrs Osborne kindly lets us have space at the school.
The children have to carry their bags, lunchboxes, wellies etc themselves when we walk to the school so can we please ask that they have suitable size bags that they can manage, rucksacks are good because they can have them on their back, freeing up their hands to carry a lunchbox and hold a partner’s hand!. It would also be great if Sound of the week objects are small on those afternoons so we can pop them in their bag, if not we have to leave them in the cupboard at preschool. If they are unable to carry their bags, wellies etc we will be leaving them in the cupboard.
If anybody is able to help walk us down to the school at 1.20-1.30 we would be really grateful. Please see Vicky or Theresa .
New committee members
A high number of our parents will have to leave the committee in September 2019 as they have been on it for 4 years or their child is leaving preschool to go to school so we need you!! Preschool have to have a minimum number of committee members to be able to run, without committee members we would have to close so please see Vicky or a committee member if you are interested in joining, the sooner we can start the process off the better so the transition of committee in September can be as smooth as possible.
World Book Day is on Thursday 7th March so we will be having a World Book Week the week beginning Monday 4th March. We will plan activities around books and stories. Children can come dressed up as a book character if they would like to!
Dear Parents and Carers,
After much consideration we have come to the decision that we need to increase the preschool fees with effect from September 2018, this is due to the constant increases in our outgoings and an overall increase in the cost of living.
We have managed to keep preschool running well over the last few years with no or very minimal increases in our fees, however now we feel is the right time to increase our fees to ensure we maintain the excellent standards already provided.
The cost of each session will now be £13.00 which keeps our outstanding rated setting competitively priced and within the same price banding of preschools in the local area.
In addition to this we are also looking to change the way in which payments are made.
Currently fees are billed during the term in which they are for, however as from October half term invoices will be issued before the next block of sessions begin and payment will need to have been made in full before the children return to preschool. Failure to do so will put your child’s place at risk.
If your child is funded this will not affect you unless you pay for extra sessions above and beyond the 15 hours.
Further information regarding these changes will be sent out closer to the start of term.
Thanks as always for your support.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the proposed changes.
