After much consideration we have come to the decision that we need to increase the preschool fees with effect from September 2018, this is due to the constant increases in our outgoings and an overall increase in the cost of living.
We have managed to keep preschool running well over the last few years with no or very minimal increases in our fees, however now we feel is the right time to increase our fees to ensure we maintain the excellent standards already provided.
The cost of each session will now be £13.00 which keeps our outstanding rated setting competitively priced and within the same price banding of preschools in the local area.
In addition to this we are also looking to change the way in which payments are made.
Currently fees are billed during the term in which they are for, however as from October half term invoices will be issued before the next block of sessions begin and payment will need to have been made in full before the children return to preschool. Failure to do so will put your child’s place at risk.
If your child is funded this will not affect you unless you pay for extra sessions above and beyond the 15 hours.
Further information regarding these changes will be sent out closer to the start of term.
Thanks as always for your support.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the proposed changes.
We are very excited to announce that next Wednesday 18th Paul from Pyjama Drama is coming to visit us.
Paul will be putting on an interactive production about “A Fishy Tale”. This links in beautifully with this terms focus on “The Rainbow Fish”.
This opportunity is open to all current children who attend Cottontails; however we do ask that if your child doesn’t usually attend on a Wednesday morning but would like to come that they are accompanied by an adult.
There will be a list in the pink room for you to put your child’s name on.
Unfortunately this is not available for siblings due to number restrictions.
The performance will be starting at 10am so for those who don’t usually attend please arrive at 9.50am. It lasts approximately 50 minutes.
We will run a normal session as usual and everybody is invited for a drink and a cake at 11.30am to say goodbye to those children leaving to go to school or other early year settings and a chance to get together to end the academic year!
We are really pleased to announce that following our Sports Day and Fete we raised an incredible £743!! 😊
This is a fantastic amount and we just wanted to say some special thank you’s;
Thank you to Orchard Farm Shop for providing the meat, Aldis & Sons for the Strawberry’s and Asda and Morrisons for their generous donations. Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, wine, etc.
Thank you to the Staff for organising the races. Thank you to the committee for the endless hours of organising that goes into making events like these possible and such a success.
A big thank you to the King of the BBQ Ashley for all your hard work ensuring everyone got fed!
Last but certainly not least A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported the event. We really couldn’t do it without your continued support.
Parents will need to drop children off at Poringland library and collect from the library.
If your child does not usually attend a Tuesday morning session then you are welcome to swap a session so they can join in. Please sign the ‘sign in’ sheet with the session you would like to swap so Vicky is aware of numbers for adult/child ratios.
